About Music Therapy
Music therapy can be used in a variety of settings to benefit a variety of people. Music therapists often work in schools, rehabilitation centers, private practices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, prisons, nursing homes, daycare centers, veterans hospital, or hospices, and can customize a program for you in most any setting.
Music therapists work with anyone who responds to music.
DS Music Therapy is a music therapy private practice. A music therapist assesses emotional well-being, physical health, social functioning, communication abilities and cognitive skills through musical responses; designs music interventions for individuals and groups based on client needs; and follow-up progress.

About Deanna Wolfgong
Deanna has been a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) for ten years. She earned her Bachelor of Music from Slippery Rock University in 2008 and passed her certification test from the Certification Board for Music Therapists the same year.
She began working with children of varied abilities at Next Step Therapy, Inc. She opened a private practice in 2015 and continues to practice and give music lessons.
Deanna is currently meeting requirements for her Master of Music Therapy and licensure for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at her alma mater, SRU.
